Three kinds of thing appear on this site and they are never presented as one another.
Reporting from other outlets is carried as a headline, a short excerpt and a link. We do not reproduce another publication’s article, and where an outlet grants only a link, a link is all you will see — no lifted photograph and no full text.
Original pieces are written here and carry the Crypto Info News byline. Every price, percentage, market capitalisation and volume in them is checked against the market snapshot the piece was written from, and that snapshot is published with the piece so you can see which figures were current and when.
Some pieces are written with machine assistance under editorial direction. Where that is so, the piece still carries our byline and our responsibility: the standards below apply identically, and no piece publishes without passing them.
We do not invent sources, quotations, statistics, regulatory decisions or analyst opinions. A quotation appears only if it appears in a source we hold. Where sources disagree, we say the point is disputed rather than resolving it ourselves.
We do not assert that news caused a price movement. Prices move for reasons that are rarely knowable from a headline, and a report that says otherwise is guessing in a confident voice.
Serious claims — a hack, an exploit, a fraud allegation, an enforcement action, an insolvency — are never published automatically. They wait for a person, whatever the evidence appears to show.
